“I was in prison and you came to visit me” (Matt.25:36)

Carol Seymour visited the prison at Kipushi, near Lubumbashi (DR Congo), last Wednesday. They had an excellent meeting, with many choosing to follow Jesus. Numbers are increasing steadily in all the prisons, causing extreme overcrowding and difficult conditions. This coming Sunday, Carol, together with Ginny Perkins, plan to visit the two prisons in Likasi. One of these is the high-security prison, where their visits are greatly appreciated. In this ministry, as well as sharing God’s Word (Carol) and leading singing with her guitar (Ginny), our missionaries also distribute Bibles and New Testaments and help with basic food supplies. It is a thrilling and rewarding work. They especially enjoy seeing prisoners baptised and committing the rest of their lives to Christ’s service.
