Wanderley & Rosaria da Silva held their end-of-year party and ‘graduation’ for the 44 pre-schoolers at their Centre in Chimoio, Mozambique on Saturday 10 November.  The Pre-school opened in February, following the PEPE (Pre-school Educational Programme) initiative developed by Baptist World Missions. The teachers are called ‘missionary educators’, as they aim to evangelize as well as educate the children and also reach their families. It has been a challenging but also very rewarding nine months, feeding into the lives of the 44 children (4- and 5-year-olds) in their care. ‘We have seen God’s hand every step of the way,’ wrote Rosaria, who works in the pre-school, ‘and even though it is our first year of running a pre-school, we have heard many positive comments and the children’s behaviour and manners have changed for the better… We visit the families regularly and have seen how they have been impacted by this project.’ Praise God! We are sure they had a fun-filled party and we pray for God’s blessing to remain with these precious children as they grow up.
