CAM INTERNATIONAL – NEWSLINK – 13 August 2019
‘Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests… and always keep on praying’ (Eph 6:18)
Here are some points for praise and prayer for the work of CAM International. We appreciate your interest and prayer support.
Carol Seymour and Ginny Perkins left Heathrow airport yesterday evening to return to Lubumbashi, via Addis Ababa. They had a strange piece of luggage, where Ginny had packed a guitar in an adapted suitcase, with the protruding part protected by an inverted plant pot and a lot of sticky tape! (Thankfully, it was accepted at check-in.) Carol and Ginny will have arrived back at the Living Waters Centre by now. Pray for them as they unpack, talk to colleagues and prepare to resume their various ministries.
Gordon & Sybil McKillop and Sam Livingston are eagerly awaiting the visitors at Nyangombe for the first August event: the Church Conference, which starts on Thursday 15th and lasts until Monday 19th. It will be more of a Convention (no business meetings), with four sessions daily and people will eat and sleep at the camp site. The lights are all up and ready, as is a large 1,000-watt speaker bought by CAM’s Centenary Fund. This is playing the audio New Testament in Lunda – the first time people will have heard it since its recording in 2014. Pray for safe travel for the hundreds who will attend the Conference. Pray for a wonderful sense of unity, for people to be aware of God’s presence, and for lives to be touched and transformed by the Holy Spirit. Pray for Gordon, Sybil and Sam as they minister in different ways, that God will make them a blessing.
Wanderley & Rosaria da Silva are on holiday in southern Mozambique, with two missionary friends. Pray for a relaxing break for them.
Daniel Habtey is on holiday for a few weeks with his family. Pray for them to know God’s blessing and refreshment.
Thank you so much for all your prayers, which encourage and bless our workers.
