‘Pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances’ (1 Thess.5:17-18)
Here’s our latest news to help you praise and pray with us for the work of CAM International in Africa and in UK
We appreciate your prayer support
Sam Livingston had a very encouraging time last Wednesday at his young people’s Bible study. Praise God! Pray for this group, that they will be built up in the faith and give their lives to Christ’s service. There is a lot of malaria at Nyangombe these days, with many sick and the clinic extra busy. Pray for those affected, especially young children, for whom the disease can be fatal. Senior leader Charles Kafweta and his wife recently lost family members and are grieving. Pray for them to know God’s peace and comfort. Sam will be speaking at a Youth Camp at Mwinilunga for 2 days this week. Pray for God’s strength and anointing and for the right words to challenge and encourage these young folk.
Wanderley & Rosaria da Silva wrote last night about a tropical cyclone that had caused flooding in northern Mozambique and was heading their way. Pray for God’s protection for them, their home and the Vocational Centre and Pre-school buildings. They are having car problems, as their Toyota had been left for a while unused while they were in Brazil. Pray that the mechanic will soon have it fixed, as they depend on it for getting between their home and the Centre.
Daniel Habtey has sent an update on his online Leadership course. It is going very well and now has 120 registered students. 7 of these are non-church people and one has accepted Christ through the course. Praise God! Pray that the effects of this course may be far-reaching and bring blessing to the communities represented.
Kudzai & Sanel Mandizha are both now in UK, as Kudzai has his MA graduation on Friday 15th at Chester University. Kudzai hopes to return to Harare in April. The feeding programme has been suspended for now as no cooking facilities had been found yet in town. Pray for the future of this work, especially with the economic crisis in the country.
Dave Garrard, CAM Director, is flying to Greece (Thessalonica) tomorrow, at the invitation of one of his former Mattersey students, to teach church leaders in a group called ‘Agape’. He will be teaching from Thursday to Sunday. Pray for God’s blessing on his ministry.
Gordon & Sybil McKillop are on leave in Scotland. Sybil’s eye appointment was postponed 2 weeks ago, but should take place tomorrow (Weds). Pray that Sybil will get a good report from this check-up.
