Daniel Habtey, CAM International partner, is an Eritrean who fled persecution as a refugee in 2002. He is based in Huddersfield, UK, and has a ministry to Eritreans and other displaced people, helping them with integration and leadership training. He visits Ethiopia on a regular basis to help Eritrean refugees there. Since July 2018, when a historic peace treaty was made between Ethiopia and Eritrea, Eritrean church leaders have been able to travel across the border into Ethiopia. On his last visit to Ethiopia, Daniel met some of these leaders from the underground church in Eritrea for the first time in 20 years! They had a wonderful meal and time of sharing together. Daniel spent 5 days giving teaching to Eritrean refugees, helping them to be more effective leaders. On 5 February he launched an online leadership course for Eritreans. We pray that it will be a real blessing for those who have registered and help build them up in the faith and make them more effective church leaders.
