37 baptised in high-security prison! Sunday 6 October was a “brilliant” day for Carol Seymour and Ginny Perkins, as they shared in the baptism of 37 prisoners at Likasi, 80 miles from Lubumbashi, in DR Congo.

They took along Bibles (in the appropriate languages) and baptismal certificates for each candidate and a large quantity of maize flour, beans, etc. to make a hearty meal for everyone. As it was Carol’s birthday, special biscuits were also on the menu (they had decided against trying to bake cakes for 700 plus!)

What rejoicing to see these men publicly declaring their faith in Jesus! They may be locked up physically, but they are enjoying new life and spiritual freedom in Christ.
