Wanderley & Rosaria da Silva have been back in Chimoio for one month since their break in USA. At the Baruk Centre, the place is living up to its name – ‘Blessings’ – with a full programme, new buildings, progress and exciting plans for the future. The Pre-school is thriving, with 80 pupils and 2 new classrooms, plus office, almost completed. The builders have finished the roofing, electrics and plastering and are now working on the doors and windows.
Both the Pre-school and Vocational Centre are in use for weekend discipleship groups for teens and youth from the local community. Last week a new course was launched: Judo and Self-Defence, with 25 youngsters and a master trainer who represents Mozambique in international tournaments.
Setting out their goals for 2020, the da Silvas are planning more courses, including Carpentry, Guitar-playing and Accounting. They want to build a guesthouse and complete 3 workshops. They invite us to join with them in praying for more sponsorship for the children and for more volunteers to help teach the vocational courses.
Praise God for this great work in Chimoio, which is bringing such blessing to the local community!
