Daniel Habtey partners with CAM International. He is an Eritrean pastor who lives in Huddersfield, England, and has a ministry to help Eritreans and other displaced people in UK and beyond. He himself is a refugee who escaped persecution in Eritrea. He married Senayit in Sudan in 2001, then in November 2002, they fled with their 6-month-old daughter Abseri to Libya (where they were in jail for one week), and then endured a horrendous boat crossing to Italy, eventually flying on to UK. Daniel has just told us about a new project, working with four Eritreans whose mission is to help refugees (Eritrean, Sudanese, Somalian, etc) who are trapped in Libya, being exploited in various ways. We pray that God will give them wisdom as they seek to help these vulnerable people.
The photos include a wedding photo from 2001; The family now (Abseri on right); Daniel teaching a group of Eritreans in Ethiopia last November.
